Blue is the colour this season and here at Xtras Online we like to make sure you’re all up to date and style savvy! The March edition of Vogue magazine has run a fab feature on a huge array of blue bits, so we thought we’d put together our own list for you all!
First off, N.Y.C’s Sparkle Eye Dust in Baby Blue. This shimmery brush on eye colour is a fab loose dust which is very pigmented when applied. It also includes a little applicator brush in the spill proof jar.
Last week I mentioned Essie’s nail varnish in Bikini So Teeny and I love it so much it gets a say in this week’s blog as well! It’s the best shade I’ve come across for as long as I can remember, a beautiful blue with hints of lilac and sparkle. Just divine, and very unusual!
For the more adventurous of you out there, why not try our La Riche Directions Semi-Permanent Hair Colour in Atlantic Blue? In the past I have used this dye in Flamingo Pink to create a dip dye hair effect, it was easy to do at home and fairly mess free! The dye lasts for quite a few washes and is a nice colour even as it fades. Be brave and give it a go, I was certainly very happy with my colourful hair!
If you’re after a more royal blue nail varnish, look no further than W7 Nail Polish in Wild Blue. It’s a lovely, vibrant blue which will no doubt catch a few peoples eyes!
Next up is a personal fave, Bourjois Paris Ombre a Paupieres eyeshadow in 75 Bleu Paillettes. At only £2.99 it’s a beautifully rich and pigmented colour with just the right amount of sparkle in it. Make your eyes pop!
If a more subtle touch of blue is your thing, Maybelline MNY My Pencil Eyeliner in 030 Blue may be better suited to you! It’s a fab soft kohl, why not smudge a little under your eyes for a more modern version of smokey eye make up? This look has been all over the catwalks lately, so you’ll be dead on trend!
Let us know which ‘blue bit’ you end up trying out, we’d love to see your pics and hear your thoughts on the products!
