I wasn’t quite sure what to make of these beaded, 3D nail pearls when they first came out. A few companies have variations, like Ciaté’s Caviar Manicure and MUA’s Nail Constellation so here at Xtras we obviously didn’t want to be left out! We’ve just received a big shipment of W7 Magic Beads in three styles, Black Rain, Silver Streak and the very colourful Rainbow Drops! As I said, I was a bit unsure at first as to what to make of the whole thing, so decided the best thing to do would be to try them out!
The first thing I found out was that I was very wrong not to love these right away! The first finished nail was accompanied by lots of shrieking and ‘Oooh…ahhhhh’. I’ve used the Rainbow Drops on my nails as I was interested to see how the colours would come out and how evenly spaced they would be, I think you can get a good idea from the photo. They beads were distributed nicely and overall I really like the effect!
They were also unbelievably easy to put on! All you need to do is apply two coats of the clear nail polish which is included, and then place the painted nail over the plastic tray (which comes with the packaging) before the polish has had a chance to dry. Then just pour the pearls over the nail until it’s fully covered and press them down into your painted nail bed to make sure they are stuck down properly and have an even surface. W7 have also cleverly included a little funnel to help you pour the excess nail beads back into their bottle so that none go to waste!
They only took 20 minutes to dry and felt very secure once they had, which was something I had been worried about. These are perfect for a night out or event but you obviously don’t want them to all fall off half way through the night, so I’m pleased with how firmly attached they felt. I’ve also typed out this blog wearing them so they aren’t inconvient for those every day tasks (like checking Facebook….). I barely used any even though I’d applied them to the nails on both of my hands as well, so it seems like the bottle will last for quite some time!
We’d love to know what you make of this nail pearls, send us in your pics and comments and they might get posted on the blog!
